Two bike rides on Labor Day Weekend!

On SaturdayThree Parks 10am– From I-94 exit 192 Haggerty Rd. and go south. Haggerty becomes S. Metro Pkwy, dead ends in park. Meet at 2nd lot on right about 1 .5 miles into park – Tulip Tree picnic area. Lunch stop at McNasty’s (good burgers and beers)in New Boston! You can choose to ride between 5 and 30 miles your choice, as it’s a straight shot out and back. Helmets and Park Passes Required. If you make it the full distance, there’s a nice nature center at the halfway point.  Parks include, Lower Huron, Willow and Oakwood,  all connected by paved bike trails. Rolling hills and winding trails along the river make this one of our favorite bike rides.

On Monday:

Join us on Labor Day at Kensington Metropark for a full day of picnicking, hiking, biking, kayaking and more! this event is usually well attended and people come out to partake in any or all of the events or just to socialize and picnic. We will be gathering in the area where the boat rental is located. The is only one boat rental at Kensington!

  • Bring your lunch or a dish to pass
  • Bring your folding lawn chairs
  • Bring you bike – helmets required
  • Bring your own kayak or you can rent one
  • Park passes required to enter Kensington
