The Dahlias Present: RIDE FOR PRIDE

| July 16, 2018

Sunday, August 26th we will be having a ride to raise money and awareness for the Ruth Ellis center. Your ticket purchase and 100% of all proceeds will be donated to the Ruth Ellis Center. Named after prominent Detroit-area LGBTQ activist Ruth Ellis, the Center has been providing safety-net and healthcare services, family preservation programming, and residential foster care specifically for LGBTQ youth in the region for over 15 years. The services the Ruth Ellis Center provide to our LGBTQ communities are invaluable, and we are doing our part to see that their ability to continue providing such services is continued.

We will be having a group motorcycle ride with a stop at Detroit’s premier motorcycle shop Clutch & Throttle. Brad, the owner, is opening up the shop for us to hang out, mingle, and cool off before continuing on to our host venue for the evening, The Loving Touch (22634 Woodward Ave. Ferndale, MI 48220). We are working on getting a food truck to show up at Clutch & Throttle, and the Keisling is across the street for boozy drinks and other beverages.

The ride meets at 3:45 at Harding Park (107 Mapledale, Ferndale Mi 48220) kickstands up at 4:30 SHARP.

If you plan on participating in the ride we ask that you please purchase your ticket in advance as this helps us get a good headcount for the event. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at

Day of registration will be available but will be $15.

If you’re a non motorcycle rider we hope you will come join us at The Loving Touch to party! The event at the Loving Touch is FREE and starts at 7pm.

We will be having a raffle with some amazing prizes from some awesome sponsors. We will be posting sneak peaks of some of the prizes available leading up to the event. There will also be a 50/50 raffle! We have live music by Willa Rae & The Minor Arcana.
