Things Trump’s said, things he’s promised to do and what you can do now.

| November 10, 2016

united-states-constitutionThings he’s said, things he’s promised to do and what you can do now.

The news channels are saying what a good acceptance speech Donald gave and how if he stays like that, he might do ok as president. Even if that were true and he became a completely different person “more presidential” he’s still an uninformed and inexperienced clown with a bad temperament that knows nothing about foreign policy or how to create a better economy.  He’s an ignorant bully who probably has mental health issues and we need to remember that. Anything he ever said that made the slightest bit of sense was written by someone else, and read, poorly, by him.

His words are unforgivable and he doesn’t deserve a pass. Never forget the things he has said that should have disqualified him from being president; here is the short list to start with:

“I moved on her like a bitch, but I couldn’t get there. And she was married. I did try and fuck her. She was married. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab them by the pussy. You can do anything.”

“You know, it really doesn’t matter what the media write as long as you’ve got a young, and beautiful, piece of ass.”

“I think the only difference between me and the other candidates is that I’m more honest and my women are more beautiful.”

You’re disgusting.” Donald Trump said this to the opposing lawyer during a court case when she asked for a medical break to pump breast milk for her three-month-old daughter.

“It’s freezing and snowing in New York – we need global warming!”

“If I were running ‘The View’, I’d fire Rosie O’Donnell. I mean, I’d look at her right in that fat, ugly face of hers, I’d say ‘Rosie, you’re fired.’”

About women: You have to treat ’em like shit.”

trump2About Carly Fiorina: “Look at that face! Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president? I mean, she’s a woman, and I’m not supposed to say bad things, but really, folks, come on. Are we serious?” Does this man ever look in the mirror?

About going backstage at his beauty pageants while contestants are changing: “You know, the dresses. Is everyone OK?’ You know, they’re standing there with no clothes. ‘Is everybody OK?’ And you see these incredible-looking women, and so, I sort of get away with things like that.”

About Hillary Clinton: “She doesn’t have the look. She doesn’t have the stamina.”

Called for the resignation of a Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and said “her mind is shot.”

“While Bette Midler is an extremely unattractive woman, I refuse to say that because I always insist on being politically correct.” hey dude, you just said it!

Called a senator Elizabeth Warren “goofy” and referred to her as “Pocahontas.”

“I don’t like people who were captured,” John McCain was shot down in 1967 over North Vietnam and fractured both arms and legs after being ejected from his aircraft. He was repeatedly tortured during his stay in the notorious “Hanoi Hilton”

Here are a few things he says he will do right away but fortunately both Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren came out on Thursday after the election and pretty much said “No Way” We need to support them in the fight.

  1. Hire a special prosecutor to put Hillary in Jail.
  2. Repeal and replace Obama Care.
  3. Select a Scalia clone to Supreme Court.
  4. Roll the clock back on abortion and eliminate any subsidies for Planned Parenthood.
  5. Repeal Obama’s immigration orders. Trump could revoke Obama’s executive orders on immigration, which suspended deportation of 4 million undocumented parents of children who are U.S. citizens because they were born here. That may be the start of what could become an unprecedented mass arrest, incarceration and deportation treadmill promised in the campaign.
  6. Loosen gun controls nationwide. Trump and the GOP platform want to expand gun rights. No more gun-free zones. The platform calls for carrying a concealed weapon to be legal in all 50 states, and opposes state laws restricting military-style assault rifles and limiting the size of ammunition-carrying magazines. Trump campaigned saying he would allow guns in playgrounds and schools, and he supports the National Rifle Association’s idea of arming and training teachers and hiring more gun-carrying guards for schools.
  7. Cut taxes, increase military spending. Trump embraced Ronald Reagan’s two-part formula from the 1980s that sent the federal debt through the roof. Sorry folks, Republicans are bad for the economy every time.
  8. “Bomb the fuck” out of ISIS and increase the chance of  foreign wars. Trump has said he wants to bomb the fuck out of ISIS, increase the use of torture including waterboarding that is considered a war crime under international law.
  9. Roll back consumer protections like the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform Act that was intended to promote the financial stability of the United States by improving accountability and transparency in the financial system, to end “too big to fail”, to protect the American taxpayer by ending bailouts, to protect consumers from abusive financial services practices, and for other purposes.
  10. Repeal all of Obama’s “illegal” executive orders. The Republican Party platform calls for repealing executive branch policies that enforce voting rights, healthcare programs, land-use decisions, education curricula, and school restroom policies (for trans people). Trump is also likely to repeal federal policies expanding family leave, labor rights, overtime pay, etc. The GOP has said it will draft orders rescinding all policies that are not enumerated under the Constitution.
  11. Pre-empt the pot laws passed by states. – We need pot more than ever now!
  12. Bring back stop and frisk because that doesn’t make people angry, right?
  13. Start building a Mexico border wall. Who’s paying for it?
  14. Withdraw from the Paris Climate Change Accord because climate change isn’t a real thing, and cancel the nuclear weapons agreement with Iran who is already preparing to test our new fearless leader.
  15. Donald Trump tweeted that he will reverse the normalization of relations with Cuba if elected president.
  16. Change our first amendment as to freedom of the press because, they’re on to you Trump. A quote for the new dictator: “I’m a big believer, tremendous believer, of the freedom of the press. Nobody believes it stronger than me, but if they make terrible, terrible mistakes and those mistakes are made on purpose to injure people — I’m not just talking about me; I’m talking anybody else then, yes, I think you should have the ability to sue them.”
  17. Ok, he didn’t say he was going to do this one but his actions and words prove otherwise. Donald Trump is normalizing bullying and hate crimes.

So if these campaign promises are true, and he gets them passed, we should all be really scared. If you’re scared, hurt, mad, or feeling like this shouldn’t have happened, you’re not alone. People are asking on social media, “what can I do?’ While some are saying, he will be impeached or be put in jail for frauds like Trump University, or that the vote of the electors will go against him in December and declare Clinton the winner, there are some things we can all start to do right away. This election has raised political awareness for many, and people are looking for ways to fight back. The peaceful displays of protestors marching in New York and across the country are proving that young people are becoming more engaged and perhaps we have Bernie Sanders to thank for that. Remember, young people tend to be more progressive and one day, hopefully, there really will be more love and less hate in our country. It seems that just when LGBT issues like marriage equality and Black Lives Matter were being taken seriously, we might be on the verge of going backwards. How do we keep the rights we have and keep fighting for equality when it seems that racist homophobes have taken over the country? We get involved. We work together and support our communities.  After 4 years of Trump/Pence we might have to adopt his slogan and “Make America Great Again” because he will surely ruin it.

hillary-cIn Hillary Clinton’s concession speech she urged activists and community organizers to fight for “what’s right:” “I believe we are stronger together and we will go forward together. And you should never, ever regret fighting for that. You know, scripture tells us, ‘Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in good season we shall reap.’ My friends, let us have faith in each other, let us not grow weary and lose heart, for there are more seasons to come and there is more work to do.”
