Is it Time to Check in?

Brandon is turning over a new leaf in life with his start in the Auto and Home Insurance industry! He has started many journeys throughout the last year along with this, including, the start of his own Tupperware business, and the marriage to his husband, Michael. He is a proud member of Sing Out Detroit, an LGBTQ+ choir, in addition to all of his other adventures! He and his husband love traveling and enjoying the great Michigan outdoors. Between Tupperware and State Farm, Brandon has learned he is a natural when it comes to sales. He can’t wait to help you all save money on your insurance when you call him!

If any of these life changing events apply to you, it may be a good time to check in with your agent:

When you retire, your insurance rates may significantly change. You may be driving less miles which can reduce what you are currently paying for your auto insurance.

Has it been 3 years since your last ticket, DUI or accident? After 3 years those events will have less of an impact on how your rates are calculated. If you’re not sure about your record, your agent can help you.

If you have move within state or to a different state, it’s important to check in with your auto insurance agent. Auto Insurance companies will charge more or less based upon the risks associated with where you live and where your car is parked.

If you’re getting married or entering into a domestic partnership, this can often lower your insurance rates. However, if one of the drivers has a less than perfect driving record, you might want to compare rates as a couple versus separate policies.

There are many good reasons to check in with your auto insurance agent from time to time, including:

  • Has your credit rating improved?
  • Did you just turn 25 years old?
  • Have you changed jobs?
  • Graduated from college?
  • Do you have a new driver in the house?
  • Have you’ve lost your health insurance coverage?

We go through many changes in life that can have an impact on our auto insurance. Make sure you find an agent that will answer your questions, take the time to explain your policy to you and offer you multiple options to choose from.
